Reid FenlawName: Reid Stephen Fenlaw
Nickname: Fens
Age: 31
Hometown: Austin, TX
Ethnic Origin: English/Scottish
Birthsign: Gemini
Favorite Things: Performing, meeting new people, soundtracking a long walk, women, flights that are on time, my family.
Favorite Music or Band: Needtobreathe and Bon Iver
Hobbies: Going out with friends, working out, improvised theater, creating embarrassing scenes in public places, almost every sport
Favorite piece of clothing: I gotta go with my black boots. Military style, though I’m unsure if any military would actually accept me.
What’s your idea of fun? Seeing live shows both theater and concert. Drinks with friends. Outdoor activities. Performing improv. Anything involving other people really – I’m a big believer that it’s about the company you keep.
What’s the best thing about your hometown? Live Music Capital of the World!
Favorite Artist (any kind): Andy Warhol. So weird, yet so brilliant.
Currently you’re obsessed with: Only having people in my life who are genuine human beings.
Where do you hang? Wash Park, Uptown, Downtown, Red Square, Bovine Metropolis Theater, and in the Downtown underground steam tunnels when I want privacy. You can find me anywhere and everywhere.
If it’s true that we’re here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for? To clean up after parties and buy brunch.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Hilary Swank.
Which kind of puppies do you hate the most? Blind ones.
Who was your enemy or bully when you were young? Puberty was my mortal enemy! As a freshman in high school I was 5’2” and weighed 105 pounds. Sophomore year I “exploded” to 5’4” and 120 pounds. I didn’t really grow until I was 18.
If you could have the starring role in one movie already made, which movie would you pick? American Psycho. Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman. Phenomenal character, phenomenal role. A true favorite.
You’ve just been hired to a promotions position at Kellogg’s. What would you put in a new breakfast cereal box as a gimmick? Honestly I would start putting in multivitamins disguised as candy. Not enough people take the kind of care of their bodies that they should. Multivitamins and maybe a simple 3x5 card with some fun exercises parents could do with their kids. 15 minutes a day or something simple.
What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? If there are 2 trains on the same track, one leaving from Boston at 8:43AM and travelling west at 77 miles per hour, and a second train leaving from Harrisburg, PA at 8:55AM and travelling east at 79 miles per hour, why am I still this tired?
Weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? Human hair.
Most embarrassing moment ever? I don’t really embarrass. It’s usually me turning other people red.
Favorite Colorado Experience? Democratic National Convention 2008. I was working downtown at the time, and just the craziness and mass of humanity was a sight to behold. Protests, riot cops, celebrities, constant action. Got some great pictures.
What do you think of our questionnaire? I think I just got to know myself a little better.
